Since
graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002
with a degree in
Communications, Matt Golightly resisted the urge to take a
nine-to-five job and turned his, at one- time hobby, and true love
- stand-up comedy - into a career. His takes on dating, the club
scene, politics, and popular culture strike a comedic nerve with
audiences of all ages. No angst, no angry rants, just good clean
fun from this self-proclaimed “square.” His personable and likable
stage presence has taken him to clubs and college campuses all
over the nation.
Matt has been on The Bob & Tom Show, Late Night Live with Cleto
Rodriguez, Fox TV, LAT TV, Late Shift with Kevin Ferguson, and
recently participated in the San Francisco International Comedy
Competition. He can also be heard providing color-commentary
during high-school football season along the Texas Sports Radio
Network and frequently writes for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs
website.
